Lisa Strassberg, Artistic Director
With over 25 years of professional dance education and experience,
Lisa is responsible for the curriculum development, programmatic implementation
and direct in-class teaching. Lisa began her formal training at the High School for
the Performing Arts (HSPA) ( Rochester , NY ). While attending HSPA she was apprenticed
to the Garth Fagan Dance Company (the Company was awarded a Tony Award for its choreography
in The Lion King) and she studied with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
Following her tenure at HSPA, Lisa attended the world renowned Boston Conservatory
( Boston , MA ) where she studied Musical Theater and Dance and earned a Bachelors in
Performing Arts. While attending the Boston Conservatory she performed extensively with
professional theaters, summer stock programs, and renaissance festivals.
More recently, Lisa has traveled the country performing in her one-woman show, entitled "The Story Goes On." In addition, she has trained countless young professionals in dance, music and theatrical performance.
Rifka Owrutsky, Executive Director
Rifka is part of the exceptional leadership team that makes
Camp 613 the fastest growing summer program around. She has
been co-administering the camp since she founded it seven
years ago with Lisa. Rifka leads the visual arts program for
Camp 613. Rifka holds an undergraduate degree in Economics
from the University of Maryland.
Aliza Novogroder Fischman, Pre-School Director
Aliza brings 15 years of teaching experience
to our pre-school program. Aliza holds a BA in communication
as well as a New Jersey Teaching Certificate. Aliza has been
a member of several professional associations including. The
association for Supervision and curriculum Development and
National councils for Teachers in numerous subjects. Aliza
Fischman is currently a teacher at Moriah.
